Tucked away underneath the hustle and bustle of the Britomart precinct, is Café Hanoi’s private dining room. The Parlour is an intimate and sophisticated space that creates a sense of occasion, allowing you to entertain your friends, family or colleagues in privacy and style with your own dedicated server.
Since it was built in the late 19th century, the basement of the Excelsior building has been utilized as a tea, coffee and spice warehouse, a bank vault and wine cellar. The Parlour has since been transformed into an elegant subterranean dining room and bar. Its rich mahogany woods and hints of the original tapestry of bricks create a beguiling atmosphere that complements our fresh and modern Vietnamese fare.
If you would like to celebrate a special event or host a corporate function in our private dining room, our experienced hospitality team can tailor an event to suit your requirements. The space fits up to 20 people seated or 30 people for a standing event.
Head chef Jason van Dorsten has tailored banquet and canapé menus that encapsulate our finest Vietnamese cuisine.
